U.S. Marshals task force arrests four Northglenn suspects in Texas murder case

The U.S. Marshals Service Colorado Violent Offender Task Force arrested four suspects in Northglenn, Colorado, in connection with a Sept. 11 homicide in Lewisville, Texas. Gabriel Olivo-Olivo, 28, Erian Espinoza-Martinez, 20, Carly Guerrero-Aguero, 20, and a minor were arraigned after authorities found a semi-automatic handgun and other evidence at the Northglenn home.
The U.S. Marshals Service Colorado Violent Offender Task Force arrested four suspects in Northglenn in connection with a homicide committed earlier this month in Texas, the U.S. Marshals Service said.
Gabriel Olivo-Olivo, 28, Erian Espinoza-Martinez, 20, Carly Guerrero-Aguero, 20, and a minor whose name is being withheld have been arraigned in the case, according to the agency.
Olivo-Olivo was wanted by police in Lewisville, Texas, on a felony arrest warrant for first-degree murder. Authorities said the warrant, issued Sept. 15, stems from the Sept. 11 shooting death of a man at an apartment.
Detectives determined early in the investigation that the shooting was targeted and that other people were involved, the U.S. Marshals Service said. The U.S. Marshals Service and Homeland Security Investigations in Texas were asked to help locate Olivo-Olivo after investigators learned he and the other suspects had left Texas and gone to the Denver area.
The Colorado task force conducted surveillance last Monday at a home on E. 105th Court near E. 104th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, where investigators identified Olivo-Olivo and other persons of interest.
The task force asked the Colorado State Patrol's Special Operations and Response team for assistance. Law enforcement took Olivo-Olivo and the persons of interest into custody, and all four were later arraigned in connection with the homicide.
During a search of the home, investigators found a semi-automatic handgun and other evidence they believe is tied to the murder, the U.S. Marshals Service said.
The three men are being held at the Adams County Jail while awaiting extradition to Texas on the homicide charges. Authorities did not say where the minor is being held.
U.S. Marshal Kirk Taylor said the arrests showed what agencies can accomplish working together to reduce violent crime.
"When state, local, and federal partners work hand-in-hand, there becomes nowhere to run for those attempting to flee from justice," Taylor said.
Taylor added, "I could not be more proud of the work our team has done on this case."
